Yang Berbahagia Datuk Ruben Emir Gnanalingam is Group Managing Director of Westports Malaysia. He started his career as a trainee with Westports Malaysia in 1999 before leaving to set up a start-up incubator known as The Makmal Group in 2000.

Datuk Ruben re-joined Westports Malaysia in July 2005, was appointed its Chief Executive Officer in 2009, and later became Group Managing Director of Westport Holdings Bhd. in 2018.

Datuk Ruben is the Owner & Vice-Chairman of Queens Park Rangers Football Club, as well as the Founder & Board Member of the Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC). Besides being a Club owner, he also serves as an Executive Council Member of the Football Association of Selangor. Over on the basketball front, Datuk Ruben founded and co-owns the KL Dragons, which participates in the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL). He sits on the Board of the ABL and is a Member of the NBA Junior Asia Advisory Board.

He is also on the Boards of Bintang Capital Partners Bhd., Malaysian Productivity Corporation, and Employees Provident Fund (EPF).

Outside his professional engagements, Datuk Ruben is involved with many business-related groups and charities. He is the Deputy President of the Kuala Lumpur Business Club Malaysia, and a Member of the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC). He serves as Chairman of the QPR Community Trust, and is on the Westports Foundation and CEO Action Network.
